Gears of War' is getting its own PC-only tactics game

We knew before Microsoft's E3 conference even kicked off that there was a chance that there would be up to three Gears of War games announced-and we haven't been disappointed!

Video game stories from other sites on the web. While the announcement wasn't exactly positively received, it appears that Microsoft is bringing its Gears of War franchise to the platform as well. We don't know very much about this new title, called Gears Pop, but we know that it's a mobile games and that the characters will all be modeled after Funko Pop vinyl figures. Studio head Rod Fergusson talked about the evolution of the "Gears of War" franchise at the event. We'll be waiting a while longer to find out more, as Gears Pop won't be landing on iOS and Android until sometime next year. This time, Kait Diaz appears to be stepping into the lead as she confronts a lingering thread from Gears of War 4. Gears 5 will also be enhanced for Xbox One X, supporting 4K resolution and High Dynamic Range (HDR) at 60 frames per second (FPS).

Gears Tactics, a PC exclusive without a release date, brings XCOM-like tactical, isometric gameplay to the Gears universe.
