Command and Conquer: Rivals Mobile RTS Game Announced with Trailer and Gameplay

There was a collective gasp as Redwood Studios took the stage during EA Play when it became apparent a new Command & Conquer game was on its way. Players win the game by holding the missile launcher and shooting them into the enemy team's base.

Command & Conquer is one of the most popular real-time strategy (RTS) series in gaming history with over a dozen entries spread out over the past couple of decades.

The first Command & Conquer came out in 1995. EA revealed the game during its EA Play event today in Los Angeles ahead of next week's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3).

According to EA, Rivals will feature a tier system for rewards and equippable units similar to Clash Royale, but the details are still in the air. Players who pre-register will get the Early Bird Bundle, which includes a Titan unit, Diamonds, and Credits, when Command & Conquer: Rivals launches worldwide. There will likely be different varieties of maps and game modes available as well. Every game becomes a best of three matchup between rivals. By pre-registering, American and Canadian Android players may be invited to the game's pre-alpha. iOS users can pre-register at the game's official website.

"As huge fans of the strategy genre, we wanted to build a great RTS on mobile".
