Newfoundland and Labrador's Tim Hortons restaurants celebrating Camp Day

The proceeds are donated to the Tim Horton Children's Foundation (THCF), which works to help send kids to camp each summer.

Today is Tim Hortons Camp Day in Prince George and across Canada. Since 1974, The Tim Horton Children's Foundation has provided over 257,000 youth a camp experience that unlocks their hidden strengths, develops critical life skills, and supports them to find their own success and thrive as contributing members of their own communities.

Every week we will be giving away 25$ gift card to Tim Horton's if you can share your "bits of wisdom" about the D.

"All of our coffee sales for the day, all of the money gets donated to the childrens camp and then our bracelets and any other donations we get throughout the day and the last week go to kids at camp", said store manager B-Jay Smith. Camp Day festivities are also taking place at Tim Horton's locations in Arnprior as well.

"Youth from low income homes face additional obstacles when it comes to academic performance, relationship building, and physical and emotional well-being", the company said in a news release.

BC Ambulance paramedics were slinging coffee at the Willow Point Tim Hortons as part of their contribution to Camp Day.

It's that one day of the year where you can make a huge difference in children's lives just by buying a coffee.
