The rear camera is a dual 16MP/5MP setup, with a 16MP front-facing shooter. The device runs on Android 8.0 Oreo and comes with a fingerprint sensor along with Iris recognition feature. It will cost 13,990 (~$205) rupees for the version with 3GB RAM and 16,490 rupees (~$242) for the 4GB version. The J8 has a 6-inch HD+ display, while the J6 comes with a 5.6-inch HD+ display.

It is powered by an Snapdragon 660 with 2.2 GHz octa core processor.

On the optics front, the Galaxy J8 ships with dual rear cameras, consisting of one 16-megapixel sensor (f/1.7) and another 5-megapixel sensor (f/1.9) for depth sensing.

The device will come with Android Oreo out of the box and will be available to buy on May 22.

Samsung Galaxy A6+ and A6 specs Samsung Galaxy A6 and A6+ feature a similar spec-sheet with differences in processor, display size, battery and rear camera. For additional storage, the phone features a microSD card slot. The smaller Galaxy A6 will come in two variants of 4GB and 64GB storage or 4GB RAM and 32GB storage.

Now, with the new devices, the display feature has been introduced at lower price points in the Indian market.

The smartphones debut Chat-over-video feature. Additionally, Samsung is including a new "Chat Over Video" software feature with the devices, which will allow users to reply to messages through a semi-transparent interface while viewing videos. The Galaxy J6 is, in fact, the cheapest Samsung phone to boast of an edge-to-edge screen, normally reserved for the company's top-tier Galaxy and Galaxy Note devices. Galaxy J8 will be available from July 2018 onwards.

You will be able to buy both the phones from Flipkart, Samsung's official E-Store, the Paytm Mall, and from brick-and-mortar Samsung stores. All the four devices will be available in Blue, Black & Gold colors.

Samsung Galaxy A6+, A6 (4/64GB) & A6 (4/32GB) are priced at Rs. 25,990, Rs. 22,990 and Rs. 21,990 respectively. The Galaxy J8, Galaxy J6 (4GB/64GB) and J6 (3GB/32GB) variants are priced at Rs 18,990, Rs 16,490 and Rs 13,990 respectively. The Samsung Galaxy J6 and the Galaxy J8 are the new players in the mid-range budget segment. While on purchasing J6 and J8 ICICI Bank cards or Paytm, will get an additional cashback of Rs 1,500.

Galaxy J6, J8, A6 and A6+ sport best in class cameras that allow consumers to take handsome shots or selfies anytime, anywhere.
