Tame Impala & A$AP Rocky to Headline Treasure Island Music Festival

After taking a year off in 2017, the Treasure Island Music Festival this week announced its return on October 13-14, 2018 - this time, not to its namesake location, but at Middle Harbor Shoreline Park in Oakland.

The West Coast festival, which took a year ago off to find a new location, revealed its 2018 lineup on Wednesday. This year's headliners are Tame Impala, the psychedelic rock band that became a critical darling with their 2015 record, Currents, and A$AP Rocky, the star rapper who will be releasing his third album, TESTING, this year. Folk-rockers Courtney Barnett and Lord Huron, magnificent singer-songwriter Sharon Van Etten, and reggae fusion/alternative hip-hop powerhouse Santigold are among the other notable names. Treasure Island '18 will also feature the Silk City collaboration from Mark Ronson and Diplo and Toro y Moi and Nosaj Thing pairing up as Laff Trax. "With this format in mind, I can definitely tell you that the entire team and I couldn't be more thrilled with how the lineup came together this year", Kurland said. Tier 1 GA tickets start at $165 and $325 for Tier 1 VIP passes, but that price level only applies to an "extremely limited number" of passes.
