Frontier Airlines adding service from Jacksonville to San Antonio

The return flight leaves San Antonio at 3:25 p.m., arriving in Cleveland at 7:31 p.m. The airline announced the end of San Antonio service as part of a round of service cuts last fall.

In addition to San Antonio and Austin, Frontier flies from Cleveland to: Denver, Fort Myers, Las Vegas, Miami, Minneapolis, Orlando, Portland, Phoenix, Raleigh/Durham, Seattle, Tampa and Cancun, Mexico.

At its peak a year ago, Frontier offered as many as 19 destinations from Cleveland, including service to Los Angeles, San Francisco and San Diego. "It has been the continued support from the airport, local leaders and most importantly the community that allows us to continue to expand our service and make flying affordable", said Richard Oliver, spokesperson for Frontier Airlines. Flight service begins in August and the special fares are available for travel through November 14.

Frontier is offering introductory fares on the route of $39 each way.

Frontier flies to more than 80 destinations in the United States, Canada, Dominican Republic and Mexico on almost 300 daily flights.

Air Canada on Thursday will launch daily nonstop flights to Vancouver, British Columbia.

This map shows nonstop flight destinations from San Antonio International Airport. This empowers more people than ever before to fly.
