Fortnite BR Weekly Challenges Not Working Due to v4.2 Delay

The upcoming Fortnite update removed the Thanos Infinity War event and is meant to add the new burst assault rifle. There is a slight problem though - Epic says that the release of Patch 4.2 will be delayed and it has no ETA yet as to when it will roll out. So, as a result, "some quests may not function until the build releases". Epic Games has promised to update players once they have "a more accurate time frame".

While the 4.2 update doesn't appear to contain anything too significant, the huge popularity of the game's Fortnite Battle Royale mode means that any patch is greeted by an overwhelming amount of excitement. Epic Games was quick to fix the issues, so hopefully that's a sign of things to come for this particular quirk.

Instead of showing the new loading screen it simply displays a placeholder image.

The Fortnite 4.2 update was originally scheduled to go live early this morning, though Epic pushed it back along with the planned Fortnite downtime.

In the meantime, until servers go down Fortnite fans who have the latest Battle Pass will be able to take part in the season 4 week 3 challenges.

There is plenty new gear and items to unlock for season 4, as well as new blockbuster challenges (which task you with completing all the weekly challenges), so there is lots to make these challenges worth your time.

Completing the weekly challenges will also help contribute to your "Blockbuster" challenges, which in previous weeks has rewarded you with a hidden battle star.
