Fortnite Patch Delayed, New Downtime Announced

Epic Games warned about this earlier today, revealing that issues would hit Fortnite Challenges today. "Due to this delay some quests may not function until the build releases".

The Fortnite 4.2 patch notes have yet to be released, as they will coincide with the launch of the v4.2 update. Now, that might seem like an easy feat, but several of us have tried in the GamesRadar office and there's definitely an issue with the Fortnite replay challenge not working.

Watching the full clip should allow you to earn the Battle Stars without needing to drop into the Island and Battle other players.

Anyone who's diving into this week's Fortnite Battle Pass Challenges will know that one of the requirements is to watch a match replay.

The team over at Epic Games took to their Twitter account to share the revamped schedule, sharing that the update will be going live on May 16th with downtime beginning at 4 AM ET/6 AM central. While it has been weeks since this addition, Epic Games ensures players never go too long without new content, and so since then we have seen the destruction of Dusty Depot, and even the addition of anti-gravity consumables.

For this reason, Epic Games may choose to wait until tomorrow morning to set the new update live, and avoid rush hour server times.
