Jason Witten: Packers a 'great spot' for Dez Bryant

Now, a former Dallas Cowboys player believes he'll have many more chances to catch some balls in Green Bay.

"I think he's going to end up going to the Green Bay Packers", Witten says. "You partner him up with Jimmy Graham and Aaron Rodgers, I think that offense can put up a lot of points". "Aaron Rodgers, he throws that back-shoulder throw so well, and Dez (can have) great chemistry with a good quarterback that can put the ball where ever he wants".

Though the Packers drafted three wide receivers in this year's NFL Draft, they lack established options after releasing Jordy Nelson, who signed with the Oakland Raiders.

"I think Dez is certainly going to have plenty of opportunities", Witten said. Bryant would be an interesting fit with the Packers - Graham, Dez and Davante Adams would be pretty hard to defend.

The Dallas Cowboys have made several moves this offseason to reshape their roster including a few cuts, headlined by the release of star wide receiver Dez Bryant. But in Green Bay, there would be far less pressure.

Much like the Cowboys, the Packers have gone through some changes to their receiving corps during this National Football League offseason. The 29-year-old reportedly turned down a multiyear offer from the Baltimore Ravens prior to the 2018 NFL Draft in a bid to find the right fit on a one-year deal that could help secure a bigger contract the following year. New signings Allen Hurts and Deonte Thompson, along with the acquisition of Tavon Austin, may make Williams expendable if he does not have a good preseason or training camp. He has gone a career-worst 23 regular-season games without a 100-yard performance.

Bryant has struggled in recent seasons, with no 1,000-yard receiving campaigns since 2014.

After the catch, no-catch controversy from a few years ago, this would be fun. Still, despite remaining open to the idea of considering Bryant, the Giants have showed very little interest to date.
