Hue Jackson will jump in the lake June 1st for charity

Hue Jackson's shuddering season with the Cleveland Browns will include one last chill.

0-16 in 2017 did not equate to a better record.

On Monday, Jackson announced that he will jump into Lake Erie on June 1, a pledge that he had made a year ago should the Browns not improve on their 1-15 record from 2016.

To sweeten the deal, Jackson vowed that, for every franchise employee who joins him in the water, he will donate $100 to his foundation that fights human trafficking.

After all, a dip in a lake and a shot at another season of possibilities beats the fate of terminated GM Sashi Brown.

If we're going to be technical about it, Jackson shouldn't have to jump into Lake Erie since they didn't go 1-15.

The jump will be held in a private location and is reserved for club employees only. Because reporters asked him about it, of course.

The team announced on its website on Monday that Jackson will take the plunge on June 1.

It is a more than worthy cause that I've written about before (see the first link in this article if you've missed it), addressing a problem that is vastly underrecognized in part because it's something too disgusting for the average person to want to acknowledge is actually going on right now.
