FOX Officially Orders Last Man Standing Revival

Tim Allen's "Last Man Standing" is resurrected by FOX after it was canceled on ABC previous year. The show was a solid performer for ABC, and fans protested that the network canceled it due to Allen's conservative views.

Last Man Standing was ABC's second-highest-rated comedy behind Modern Family, averaging, in its sixth season, 6.41 million live viewers and was nominated for two Primetime Emmys.

Fans of the show "Last Man Standing" have been wanting it to return to the airwaves ever since it was cancelled in 2016.

"Excited?" Allen said in a statement released by Fox.

With the news that Fox will be reviving the series, fans (and haters) wasted no time expressing online their delight and outrage.

"I always wanted Last Man Standing to be like [All in the Family's] Archie Bunker", Allen said a statement last September.

Allen clearly couldn't be happier about the news, thanking fans for continuing to support the show after its cancellation.

Unlike "Last Man Standing", there is no worry from fans that "Roseanne" won't be back on ABC's schedule next year.

"Oh, has it only been one year?" he quipped. "Well, just goes to show you - a lot can happen in a year". Progressives, being the type of folks who want to dominate every aspect of our lives, are certainly used to controlling what the public is "allowed" to watch, and they do it with gusto, filling countless broadcast hours with what essentially amounts to poorly produced leftist propaganda.

Original series regular cast members Nancy Travis, Jonathan Adams, Amanda Fuller, Christoph Sanders and Jordan Masterson are all expected to return.

The great irony, though, is that if the Disney merger goes through, Last Man Standing won't be owned by FOX. Fox is looking to cut about 40 percent of the ad time on Sunday nights, which is also home to animated comedies "The Simpsons" and "Family Guy".

At the time of Last Man's cancellation, ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey stressed that the show's ownership structure - the network had to pay a sizable licensing fee to 20th TV - was behind her decision to drop it. Roseanne Barr, who plays the title character on Roseanne, came out as a Trump supporter in the revival, which debuted to record numbers.

It's official - Last Man Standing will be back.

Roseanne was the only multi-camera comedy, which are less expensive and faster to produce, ABC aired during the 2017-18 season.

"But there is nothing more risky, especially in this climate, than a amusing, likable conservative character", the actor added.
