UPSC Civil Service exam results out, Anudeep Durishetty of Hyderabad is topper

New Delhi, Apr 27 Indian Revenue Service officer Durishetty Anudeep has topped the coveted civil services 2017 examination whose results were announced today, breaking a three-year streak of female candidates bagging the top spot.

A total of 990 candidates (750 men and 240 women) have been recommended by the Commission for appointment to various services. There was a total of fifteen men and eight women who made it to the top 25 list. Durishetty Anudeep, a candidate from Hyderabad has topped the UPSC Result 2018. Sachin Gupta secured the overall third rank.

Saumya Sharma, who appeared in the UPSC exams under the physically disabled category. secured an overall ninth rank.

Anudeep Durishetty is a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Instrumentation from BITS, Pilani.

For any clarification regarding the results, candidates can call on the numbers 23385271 / 23381125 / 23098543 on working days between 10 am and 5 pm.

The recommended candidates include 29 physically challenged persons (9 Orthopedically Handicapped; 8 Visually Challenged and 12 Hearing Impaired).

Candidates who appeared in the written examination, which was held a year ago, can now check the details and the respective results through the official site of UPSC: upsc.gov.in. "It wasn't an easy journey, but I am happy to be here", Anudeep said. 13,366 candidates qualified for an appearance in the Written (Main) Examination held in October - November 2017. The exams were followed by the personality tests, conducted from February.
