4 dead in Waffle House shooting in Tennessee

Early Sunday morning around 3:25 a.m. a naked man walked into a Nashville, Tennessee Waffle House and opened fire.

Shots rang out at the restaurant in Antioch, near Nashville, around 3.25am on Sunday, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.

Local police have stated that the gunman "fled on foot" after somebody in the restaurant wrestled the weapon away from him. The vehicle that the gunman arrived in is registered to Reinking.

Authorities said the gunman was last seen walking south on Murfreesboro Pike and is now completely nude after shedding his coat.

According 6ABC, a man identified as 29-year-old Travis Reinking of Morton, Illinois, is being sought as a person of interest.

Local media citing police on the scene reported the gunman was armed with an AR-15 assault rifle - a weapon commonly used by mass shooters in the USA, where debate over gun control is fierce and shootings are all-too-frequent.
