Netflix reveal first look trailer for the original British series Safe

Everyone seems to be recovering and thriving, until one evening, Jenny sneaks out to a party and goes missing.

If you're looking for a new thriller to binge on, Netflix have announced that Michael C. Hall - better known as Dexter to most people - is returning to TV and his new project looks really interesting. ("Safe" will be airing out of competition.) Audiences unable to make it to France for the premiere festivities won't have to wait long - the first season drops in full on Netflix next month. Hall serves as executive producer along with Harlan Coben, Nicola Shindler, Brocklehurst and Red's Richard Fee.

In addition to Hall, Amanda Abbington, Hannah Arterton, Louis Greatorex, Raj Paul, Joplin Sibtain and Hero Fiennes Tiffin star in the series, according to IMDB.

Tom's wife died a year ago and he's bringing up his two daughters, living in a lovely gated community, with close friends nearby and a new relationship. And how well do people know Tom?

In "Safe", he plays Tom, a surgeon still dealing with the aftermath of his wife's death a year after it happened. He takes it upon himself to find her and finds out "dark secrets about the people closest to him".

In the final reckoning, there will be redemption. That said, an eight-episode mystery is going to be hard to pass up on Netflix, especially coming off the streaming service's excellent murder mystery Collateral.
