Leader of the Pack becomes co-owner of the Bucks

Aaron Rodgers has long professed his love for the National Basketball Association game and the Milwaukee Bucks.

Rodgers joins as a limited partner and was sat next to Bucks owner Wes Edens on Friday.

Rodgers has lived in the state of Wisconsin since being drafted by Green Bay back in 2005.

Sitting next to girlfriend Danica Patrick and Bucks co-owner Wes Edens, Rodgers received a warm welcome from the sold-out crowd when his face was shown on the video board at the Bradley Center. The Green Bay Packers quarterback had some pretty major off-the-field news announced.

Rodgers is a California native.

Rodgers in a statement says the opportunity is a "dream come true" for him.

And Rodgers is looking forward to his future with the Bucks.

Since the Bucks' current owners took over prior to the 2014-15 season, they have made three postseason appearances. It looks even crazier after Rodgers was announced as new minority owner of the Bucks at the game, becoming the first National Football League player to own part of a major team in his own market.

"Aaron is a victor, a Wisconsin icon, and we are honored to welcome him to our partnership group of the Milwaukee Bucks", the Bucks ownership group said in a statement. "We are thrilled for Aaron to be with us".

The Milwaukee Bucks revealed that the quarterback had purchased a minority stake in the franchise.
