Orlando weather: Cooler Monday to be windy

A weak cold front will pass through early Thursday, but this front will be so weak that it is not going to change our weather.

Happy Monday! After a bitterly cold weekend, temperatures will begin to warm this week with highs near 50 later today. Showers will generally fall mostly as rain, but may transition to snow before ending.

It has been a busy morning across Central NY with strong winds causing tree damage as well as power outages. Highs along the Missouri River were lucky to manage 40° while areas on our western fringe, including Sheridan, made a run at 80°. Winds will gust out of the west well over 30 miles per hour tonight and up to 40 miles per hour tomorrow.

Sunday evening will bring showers and thunderstorms. The mountains are under a Freeze Warning through Tuesday morning for lows dropping to between 30-32, while the Upstate will start Tuesday in the mid to upper 30s. Sustained winds of at least 40 mph.or gusts of 58 mph or stronger may occur. There is a 100 percent chance of rain for the evening. Tuesday should be partly sunny with highs around 37. Skies are mostly clear to clear with a decent breeze out of the south around 5 to 15 miles per hour. The winds will diminish late Monday night.* Location.Near mountain ridge tops and along desert mountain slopes into adjacent desert areas. Beyond Sunday's infrequent spells of westerly Force 4 winds, the weeks is also set to be calmer as far as the wind goes, with mainly Force 2 and 3 winds on the table for Friday and Saturday (and early Sunday).

Tuesday is expected to be sunny with highs in the mid-70s.

Winds will continue to increase throughout the afternoon. Highs warming back up into the low 50s! Highs this afternoon will climb into the upper 70s east, to lower 80s west.
