Nokia X set for 27th April unveil

HMD Global recently launched the new Nokia smartphones in India earlier this month. Going by the side profile of the handset in the digital poster, it appears the Nokia X will have a metal build with rounded corners and 2.5D curved glass on the front. We say so as the Nokia 3 and Nokia 1 smartphones in India have started receiving updates bringing new features and security patches.

If the Nokia X is indeed a mid-range smartphone, it is likely to be priced similarly to the Nokia 7 Plus in the Indian market. HMD didn't launch original Nokia 3 and 5 in China and may have now planned to make amendments. Billboards and short advertisements during movie screenings feature a certain "Nokia X".

HMD Global has developed Nokia brand by launching mid to entry-level smartphones and now entering the territory of high-end flagship phones.

According to advertisements posted in China, the device is scheduled to launch on 27 April.

The Nokia X used to be a family of devices under the old- Nokia which would be running on the Nokia X Platform, a heavily customized Android iteration without Google's suite of services and heavily resembling the layout of the Windows phone.

Or it is also possible that HMD Global may re-launch the Nokia X line this time with stock Android and better specifications.
