Local man pleads guilty to child porn charges

A 70-year-old man will face more than a decade behind bars on child pornography charges. In addition, authorities allege that before August 14, 2015, James exposed himself to a child he knew and solicited a sexual act from that child, who was younger than 13 at the time.

The 41-year-old McGlothlin will be almost 70 when released from prison.

Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement Public Affairs Spokeswoman Nine Pruneda confirmed agents arrested Riley and that he is from South Padre Island.

The man faces three charges: possessing, accessing, and importing/selling/distributing child pornography.

Riley, who is being held without bond, will make an appearance in federal court at 1:30 p.m. today for a scheduled preliminary examination and detention hearing, court records show. He said identified a host computer that was offering child pornography for distribution using a file-sharing network and downloaded approximately 48 videos, several of which depicted young children being sexually abused.

The explicit material included evidence of Turner molesting the children, who were between the ages of 12 months and 2 1/2 years old at he time. It was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney D. Rodney Brown.
