Ed Sheeran refutes claims he's building fence to keep homeless away

Director Danny Boyle's untitled comedy starring Lily James and Kate McKinnon will hit theaters in the USA on September 13, 2019, Universal announced Monday.

The Daily Mail says Sheeran will appear on screen and write new music for the film, which will also include Beatles songs, although Deadline-a more solid source on Hollywood goings-on-can't confirm whether Sheeran will indeed be contributing to the soundtrack or score.

The comedy is being written by Richard Curtis, the man behind Four Weddings and a Funeral and Notting Hill.

Having already made cameos in Game Of Thrones and Bridget Jone's Baby, Ed is said to have the "Midas touch" and could finally lay his hands on a leading role in Boyle's musical comedy.

Reports suggest that the new movie has the working title of "All You Need is Love", and it's all about a busker who wakes up and realises he's the only person on the planet who remembers The Beatles' music. Lily James, Himesh Patel (BBC's EastEnders, Damned) and Kate McKinnon star in the new one, with Ed Sheeran also set to join. The Irish writer-director said last month that he's also been working on script for the 25th James Bond movie with plans to shoot the comedy first, followed by the 007 film at the end of the year. "If anyone can make a film about the Beatles' songs even better musically, it's him". There is now no other major release scheduled for that date, although it will be competing against the second week of IT: Chapter Two, which opens September 6, 2019.
