Sega Ages for Switch Series Could Include Games for Saturn and Dreamcast

The company also confirmed yesterday that Sonic the Hedgehog (Mega Drive version), Phantasy Star (PlayStation 2 version) and Thunderforce IV (Sega Saturn version) will also be coming.

SEGA has announced the first slew of games for its SEGA AGES for Nintendo Switch program, which brings classic SEGA titles over to Nintendo Switch. While originally announced without confirmation of a western release at SEGA Fes, that was confirmed along with additions of Alex Kidd in Miracle World and Gain Ground to the collections list. Now, after the dust from that event has settled, SEGA has revealed the first five SEGA Ages titles, and released screenshots of three of them. The full lineup includes over 15 games and will be handled by studio M2, who has cut its teeth on a number of brilliant retro revivals over the past few years. Developed by M2, the Japanese developer known for high-quality ports of classic games such as the popular Sega 3D Classics series on the Nintendo 3DS, Sega Ages aims to bring prominent titles from Sega's legacy catalog to fans around the world. However, a feature in an official Nintendo magazine in Spain has purportedly revealed several crucial details about the Pokemon game on the hybrid console.

The first round of Sega Ages titles hit the Nintendo Switch this summer.

And what about you, what games for Saturn and Dreamcast would you like to see in the SEGA Ages series?
