Neymar reveals when he will be back from injury

Neymar was struck down with a foot injury in the capital club's 3-0 win over Olympique de Marseille, requiring surgery on a broken metatarsal, but it now looks like he could be back in time for PSG's title celebrations before heading off to Russian Federation with Brazil for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

However, if he does come back in a month or so, it would leave sufficient time for the 26 year-old to be ready for Brazil's opening game in Group E of the World Cup, against Switzerland in Rostov on June 17.

PSG paid Barcelona around £198million to take Neymar from Barcelona after the Brazilian had knocked them out of the Champions League in dramatic circumstances a few months before.

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Lassana Diarra admits that his side want to wrap up the Ligue 1 crown as quickly as possible with a win over AS Monaco at the weekend.

PSG coach Emery Unai said earlier Friday that Neymar was "close" to returning to the club.

"He had a good medical examination and, when he gets here, I'm sure he will want to play". Having won the league in three successive seasons, Les Parisiens were a year ago dethroned by Leonardo Jardim's team.

"The speed of recovery in the next 10 days will set the optimum date to start training without restriction".

PSG play their last Ligue 1 match on May 19.

If his recovery continues, Neymar should therefore be fit in time to take his place in Brazil's squad for the World Cup finals in Russian Federation.
