Former Panthers CB Daryl Worley arrested by Philadelphia police

Another Eagles off-season addition is in trouble with the law.

Officers used a taser on Worley after becoming "combative with police", according to NFL Network.

Rapoport reported that the Eagles issued a statement that said the team is "gathering more information" about his arrest. That's when police arrived and a confrontation unfolded, according to the report.

The 23-year-old was found passed out in his vehicle by police on a Philadelphia highway.

A gun was reportedly found.

Worley is far from a lock to stick on the roster if the Eagles determine his actions Sunday morning were serious, as they are loaded with outside cornerbacks.

A Philadelphia native, Worley recorded 63 tackles and a career-high two interceptions in 14 starts for Carolina last season.

Worley pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor assault charge during his college career at West Virginia, and the Panthers chose to move on from the young defensive back after two seasons.

Carolina dealt Worley to the Eagles this offseason in a trade for veteran wide receiver Torrey Smith.
