Jessica Jones renewed for season 3 on Netflix

The first two seasons are now available on Netflix, with the second season having been released on International Women's Day, March 8th.

Netflix has renewed Jessica Jones for a third season only a month after the release of the second. No further details were given on timing, though that is hardly a surprise given that there are often long hiatuses in between seasons.

We won't spoil anything for you, but please check it out if you haven't gotten around to watching the shocking events in season 2 of Jessica Jones.

The first season was an instant hit with fans, as "Jessica Jones" launched right after the equally popular "Marvel's Daredevil" series.

The likeliest plot turn for the series going forward will be the evolution of Trish Walker's comic book alter-ego of Hellcat, an evolutionary possibility many have been floating since the character was introduced in season one. Jessica Jones does not have a release date, but it will follow Luke Cage, Daredevil, Iron Fist, and The Punisher. For the time being here, let's just give a nice hearty congratulations to everyone for all of the time that they spent making this into the success that it is!

Marvel's Jessica Jones is produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Studios for Netflix.

The Jessica Jones official Twitter account shared the news of the renewal with a flawless gif.
