EPL: Mourinho speaks on Martial leaving Manchester United

Martial and Rashford interchanged on the left side of Manchester United's attack in the first half of the season before the arrival of Alexis Sanchez.

Martial has scored 11 goals and provided eight assists this season, but the 22-year-old has started just four games since United signed Alexis Sánchez from Arsenal in January.

The statistic that was put to Rashford is perhaps a little misleading as it includes substitute appearances, games in which other players were preferred.

As per The Daily Mail, Mourinho will revisit two of his fond former targets should Martial decide to make the move away from the club.

The 55-year-old signed a three-year deal with United in 2016 and was midway through his contract when speculation over Paris Saint-Germain's interest intensified.

He added: "I wasn't aware of it before I saw it and it's something to be proud of".

"But we always want more and we always want to show progression individually and as a team, so the numbers don't really matter as much as the results do to me". Things have improved in the ongoing season though with the France worldwide coming up with returns of 11 goals and 10 assists in 40 appearances across all competitions. "They're the most important things".

The young forward has been touted to be one of the stars at the upcoming World Cup.

"[Gareth Southgate has] brought a massive amount of freedom, especially to the forward players, but it's within a structure". We know what our individual roles are, and we still need to learn and develop that.

While only Romelu Lukaku has played more than the 43 games the England worldwide has started for his club, just 22 of those have come from the beginning of games.
