Ndamukong Suh's visit to the Oakland Raiders canceled

If somehow the Raiders get Suh via free agency, the team can switch their focus in the first round to a defensive back, or another edge rusher.

The Raiders are scheduled to host Ndamukong Suh on Wednesday, bringing in one of the best defensive free agents still out there.

Following dinner with coach Sean McVay and the Los Angeles Rams on Tuesday night, Suh was slated to fly up to Oakland to meet with the Raiders, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported Tuesday. This was part of a mass exodus from the organization as it tried to clear cap space, that also saw Jarvis Landry, Mike Pouncey and others heading out of town. One area where they have failed to add a significant piece is at defensive tackle, but that could all change this week.

While Suh rightfully has numerous teams expressing interest in signing him to come on board for the 2018 season, Los Angeles did receive some surprising good news on Wednesday when it was announced that his meeting with the Oakland Raiders had been canceled.

In the spring on 2015, Suh landed with the Miami Dolphins on a six-year deal worth a whopping $118 million, but things haven't panned out.

The No. 2 overall pick of the Detroit Lions in 2010, Suh has 51.5 career sacks - with no fewer than four in any season - across eight years while never missing a game due to injury.
