Buffalo Bills Wide Receiver Zay Jones in Police Custody

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Zay Jones had a weird night in a Los Angeles penthouse that left him nude, bloodied and in handcuffs.

According to witnesses, Cayleb was trying to stop him from jumping out a 30th floor window.

Given the lack of quality depth behind the team's number one receiver, Kelvin Benjamin, many had projected Jones to enjoy a resurgence in his second year.

TMZ Sports first reported the incident and obtained a disturbing video that allegedly shows a portion of the incident. As per the following video retrieved by TMZ, Jones was being restrained by his brother, Cayleb Jones, until authorities arrived. Zay can be heard in the video yelling, "I'm going to fight for Jesus". Zay Jones was arrested on felony vandalism charges after he "entered a public balcony area and smashed his foot through a window", per TMZ.

"We are aware of the incident involving Zay Jones", the Bills said in a statement. A police spokesman told the Associated Press that officers found Jones "breaking glass doors and windows" after they were called to a disturbance at a residential building in downtown Los Angeles.

According to NFL.com, Jones was receiving treatment Tuesday for his injuries at the Los Angeles County Jail hospital ward, and he remains in custody on $20,000 bail. That came after an impressive four-year career at East Carolina, where he recorded 4,279 yards and 23 touchdowns overall, including 1,746 and eight in his senior season. Jones' younger brother, Levi, plays linebacker at USC.

Law enforcement sources told TMZ Jones is being held in the medical ward of L.A. County jail, while the Bills told them they were "gathering more information on the matter" before commenting and the National Football League hadn't responded to them by press time.
