Monster Hunter World Is Getting A Devil May Cry Collaboration

The Devil May Cry event quest comes to Monster Hunter: World on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. For those unfamiliar Devil May Cry, you play as Dante as you hack and slash your way through demons and solve puzzles to fend off the evil that is to come. The Dante armor set will also have a special Charge Blade in the form of Force Edge/Alastor combination so if you're a charge blade user who likes Dante, then you are in luck! The collaboration and event quests to unlock the new items are coming soon according to the Capcom website.

The collaboration is in celebration of the release of the Devil May Cry HD Collection on March 13th.

In Monster Hunter, this will fall into the Charge Blade category, which usually features a "hefty shield", that when combined with its matching sword, can turn into a rather large axe. I, for one, can not wait to wield one of these and slash a Deviljho in the face... to see if it cries.

Capcom is celebrating the release of the Devil May Cry HD Collection on PS4, Xbox One, and PC by announcing a crossover event with the hugely successful Monster Hunter: World.

Capcom said to "stay tuned" for more information regarding the content and when it will be made available.

The trailer above shows Dante's Monster Hunter: World debut in action, as he unleashes his transforming sword on one of the series' trademark beasts.
