Albert Wilson intends to sign with Dolphins

Usually it's a bunch of linebackers, but this time it was a wide receiver, with Miami dumping Jarvis Landry and replacing him with Albert Wilson, according to reports. That trade also becomes official Wednesday.

He was Tom Brady's main target during the Pats run to the Super Bowl a year ago, reeling in 26 passes for 348 yards and a pair of touchdowns, including 8 for 152 in the big game. He earned 42 catches for 554 yards and three touchdowns and built a strong rapport with Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes in Week 17. He has 26 career starts. While Tyreek Hill was the wide receiver who took his fair share of handoffs with the Chiefs, but Wilson occasionally lined up in the backfield as well.

Wilson is from Port St. Lucie, Florida.

Wilson does not have quite the production of Landry, having recorded just 124 catches in his career. The three-time Pro Bowler led the National Football League with 112 receptions in 2017.

Kenny Stills will be the top returning pass-catcher for the Dolphins in 2018.

The Dolphins were the second-worst team in the AFC last season when it came to yards per catch last season, averaging 10.2 yards per reception. Landry, by comparison, had 112 catches a year ago alone, even though he averaged only 8.8 yards per catch.
