Wild day of trades has Browns fans losing their heads — Twitter reaction

Minutes after they reportedly agreed to trades for two of the AFC East's most prominent players, the NFL's worst team-turned-offseason sensation got busy with another transaction, this one a deal for former Green Bay Packers first-round draft pick Damarious Randall.

The Buffalo Bills have traded starting quarterback Tyrod Taylor to the Cleveland Browns in exchange for the first pick in the third round in the upcoming National Football League draft. The teams also swapped their fourth- and fifth-round 2018 draft picks. They will gain some room when Danny Shelton, traded to the New England Patriots, comes off the books, but not enough to reclaim the lead. They passed on Deshaun Watson not once but twice. He fell out favor with the coaching staff in Green Bay, and was nearly cut after the fourth game of the season. First, across the sport, there's a feeling that Taylor is far more talented than he's give credit for.

Dorsey has made his intentions clear in Cleveland. My guess he would not have. "I think this is probably a several-year rebuilding program". Only then will we see the official construct of their roster. We will be patient. "We are going to build through the draft". Unless, for some reason, the Browns trade down. "He's also very strategic so we will use those skills and working for him will be a GM whose primary job will be talent acquisition".

At No. 1 overall, the Browns opt for Penn State running back Saquon Barkley, while the Giants throw a curveball with North Carolina State pass rusher Bradley Chubb.

Thank you, Captain Obvious, for that last observation. This frees them up to take the best player available in the draft instead of reaching for a position out of need.

The Jets have the money to spend.

Brown's statement when he was sacked, though classy, to me carried a message of betrayal by Haslam. Banner was sacked by Haslam less than 16 months after being hired. Landry signed a $16 million, one-year franchise tag Thursday with Miami, clearing the path for a trade.

What happens now? The Browns will likely still make moves. With Gordon on the outside, Landry in the slot and Taylor behind center, the Browns have the makings of a potent attack. With just two winning seasons since the expansion franchise made its debut 1999, the Browns role as a free-agent outlier was solidified long before anyone in the current front office arrived in Cleveland. Even when they weren't making moves, the Browns were making news.

The same is true regarding Randall. "I do believe Brett has a big upside, and (I'm) looking forward to getting back to work with him". Cleveland could still draft Sam Darnold or any other of the top quarterbacks with the fourth pick.

Not even a few hours later Cleveland struck again trading for Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor in exchange for the 65th pick in the 2018 draft.

The Carolina Panthers' makeover of their wide receiver corps is full steam ahead - and they hope at high speed. He has dealt with back and knee pain through much of his career. A player on the fence about such an important decision usually retires. Sherman was due $13 million for the 2018 season.

How will this affect the Browns' free agency plans? Free agency begins March 14.
