Outrageous first trailer arrives for Sorry To Bother You

That's certainly the case in Sorry to Bother You, an out-there comedy from first-time director Boots Riley (best known until now for his politically charged hip-hop group The Coup).

Lakeith Stanfield stars as a telemarketer named Cassius Green, who discovers that in order to be more successful at his job, he just needs to affect a white accent. The man, played by Stanfield as Cassius Green, ventures into the world of telemarketing and appears to hit success when he masters the ability to use his "White voice".

After learning how to ideal his "white voice", (voiced by David Cross) Cassius enjoys meteoric success at his job and quickly becomes a "Power Caller" and is invited to join the highest ranks of the company. It premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January and screened at the South by Southwest Film Festival on Monday to critical acclaim.

"Sorry to Bother You", directed by Boots Riley, is out July 8.

Joining the pair in the film are Armie Hammer (The Social Network, Call Me By Your Name), Terry Crews (Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Expendables), Steven Yeun (The Walking Dead, Mayhem), Omari Hardwick (Power, Kick-Ass), Jermaine Fowler (Superior Donuts), and Danny Glover (Lethal Weapon).
