Kid Rock Confirmed for 2018 WWE Hall of Fame Class

Kid Rock marks the ninth time a celebrity has been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. While a fairly obvious attempt to draw extra mainstream attention to WrestleMania weekend each year, the celebrity wing is in theory meant to honor stars from outside the pro wrestling world that have made some type of memorable contribution to WWE history.

For his huge contributions to the sound of WWE, Kid Rock will receive the great honor of induction into the WWE Hall of Fame. I have so much respect for what those guys and girls do.

Every year, a celebrity earns the right to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, as a part of their "celebrity wing".

BodySlam.net's Brad Shepard first broke the rumor of Kid Rock's induction several months back and the company decided on making the announcement today. WrestleMania 34 will take place two days later on April 8 from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Several of his songs have been the official themes for WWE pay-per-view events, including "Cocky" and the worldwide hit, "All Summer Long". "I'm not saying I'm the biggest Kid Rock fan, but what I am saying is.I'm the biggest Kid Rock fan", WWE star Mike Kanellis wrote.

Kid Rock performed at WrestleMania 25 in 2009 and Tribute to the Troops in 2012.

The celebrity wing of the WWE Hall of Fame, aside from Drew Carey, has individuals from the entertainment and sports industry that have made a memorable impact within the WWE, and Kid Rock is a good addition to that list.

The song Kid Rock sung was called "American Bad Ass" and it fit the new gimmick of The Undertaker perfectly.
