Bride driving to her wedding arrested for DUI

It is not clear why Amber Young, 32, was on her own as she headed to the wedding, but she is said to have been involved in a three-vehicle crash on her way there.

Amber Young was wearing an open-back dress when she was handcuffed and put into a police cruiser Monday in Marana, 30 miles north of Tucson.

A local bride's big day got off to a rocky start when she was nailed on suspicion of impaired driving on the way to the wedding.

Scott also said the 32-year-old did not take a breath test so there are no preliminary blood alcohol concentration (BAC) results. An occupant in one of the other vehicles sustained minor, non-life threatening injuries, and was sent to a hospital, Scott said.

The bride was pictured being put into the back of a police auto while in her wedding dress after being pulled over.

Young's finance arrived at the substation to pick her up and likely whisk his bride away to their wedding ceremony, according to Marana Police.

In a now-deleted tweet, Sgt. Chriswell Scott wrote, "Don't drive impaired".

Young told officers it was her wedding day.
