Elneny features as Arsenal stroll to 3-0 win over Watford

Arsenal built on the AC Milan win and ended their four-match domestic losing run on Sunday by beating Watford 3-0 at the Emirates Stadium.

The playmaker hit the half-century in the eighth minute of the Emirates Stadium encounter, with his looping free-kick headed home by Shkodran Mustafi for Arsenal's 1,000th home goal of the Premier League era.

Watford had a chance to score a goal from the penalty spot in the 63rd minute after Maitland Niles fouled Roberto Pereyara in the box but captain Troy Deeney's penalty was saved by Petr Cech.

That was a sweet moment for the home fans, as Deeney had questioned Arsenal's heart when the Hornets won the corresponding fixture in October.

'Because I know that he suffers a lot from the current results, even more than hearing what his former players say'.

"We are in a job where we have to get the fans on our side and do absolutely everything to achieve it".

The England Under-21 global made just his sixth Premier League start of the season in place of Laurent Koscielny with Arsenal keeping a first top-flight clean sheet since December 16.

Besides, Arsene's good relationship makes it all the more hard to get rid of him, which remains the best thing for this football club at the end of the season regardless if we win the Europa or not.

The visitors enjoyed a good start to the second half, but it was the Gunners who grabbed a second goal as Mkhitaryan played in Aubameyang, who rounded goalkeeper Orestis Karnezis to slot into an empty net in the 59th minute.

"The problem is that can only play together every other week because Aubameyang's cup-tied for the Europa League".

"But I like both situations, because in the first he showed a lot of humility and responsibility, and a record like that witnesses a lot of motivation and a huge degree of intelligence".

He has a groin problem and hopefully will recover, because I think at the moment he is in a very good shape and he is very important to the team. That kept us out of trouble.

In his 15 Premier League matches for Man United in 2017/18, Mkhitaryan was directly involved in just six goals (one goal, five assists).

"Mkhitaryan is starting to be that player who creates things and Aubameyang was always looking in behind Watford".
