Palestinian killed in W. Bank clashes with Israeli army

Israeli soldiers shot dead a Palestinian man during clashes in the occupied West Bank on Friday, the Palestinian Health Ministry said.

According to Palestine's Health Ministry, the slain Palestinian youth - whose name was not given - was shot in the chest by Israeli soldiers in the West Bank city of Hebron.

Palestinian media outlets say that Jabari was deaf and mute.

The Israeli army claimed that the soldiers shot the Palestinian while he was allegedly "throwing a Molotov cocktail at them", and added that it is "investigating the incident".

This is one of several investigations the Israeli army has launched following the shooting of Palestinian civilians since December.

The status of Jerusalem is one of the biggest obstacles to any peace deal between Israel and the Palestinians, who want East Jerusalem as their capital.

The bodies of Mohammed Zein al-Ja'bari, 24, who was executed by the Israeli occupation forces earlier, were Buried by the people of the Hebron on Friday evening with the participation of national figures.

Dozens of Palestinians protested throughout the West Bank on Friday including in the cities of Hebron, Nablus, Ramllah and in Kfar Kadum.

Another investigation was launched in December by the Israeli army of the shooting of 29-year-old Ibrahim Abu Thuraya, a Palestinian man killed on the Gaza border during clashes with Israeli soldiers.

U.S. President Donald Trump announced two weeks ago that the American embassy would move to Jerusalem in May to coincide with Israel's 70th Independence Day.

"We can not stop the tens of thousands of residents who will go north, south and east to protest against the siege imposed upon Gaza", he said, according to reports in Israeli media.
