Far Cry 5 season pass and arcade mode detailed in latest trailer

Are you excited to play Far Cry 5 later this month? The jury is still out on whether the game will deliver an interesting story, but what we do know about the fast-approaching sequel tells us we're in for a typically insane experience.

Hours of Darkness will take players to Vietnam, Dead Living Zombies has you and your friends fight against waves of zombies (try not to dazzle at the originality of this one), and Lost on Mars has you going to the Red Planet to fight Martians. It's madcap, but not in a bad way.

Far Cry 5 will release on March 27. But that's far from being all, as the company will also make available to all players a really detailed map editor under the name of Far Cry Arcade, which allows players to design and create their own insane version of a Far Cry scenario.

Far Cry 5's map editor will let players rip assets straight out of Watch Dogs and Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag and plonk them down in one of the game's Montana outposts. You can check out the trailer, as well as a preview of the Arcade mode, at the end of the article.

It sounds as though Ubisoft has grand plans for Far Cry Arcade, promising to support it post-release with creation contests, new content, and more.

For more on, you know, the actual game - check out our recent hands-on. The feature is returning in Far Cry 5 under the name Far Cry Arcade and it is shaping up to the biggest and best yet.

The Arcade will be accessible straight from the single-player campaign by stepping up to an arcade machine in any bar that you visit.
