2 children die after being hit, dragged by auto

A driver killed two very small children yesterday in Park Slope on a crosswalk at the corner of Ninth Street and Fifth Avenue in Brooklyn. Miles is in stable condition at New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.

When Miles won her Tony Award in 2015, she reportedly thanked her friend Lauren Lew.

We're sending our condolences to all affected by this unthinkable tragedy.

Two others with Hawaii ties were also hit: Lauren Lew and her 1-year-old son, Joshua.

A driver in New York City claims she had a medical issue that resulted in the deaths of two young children after her auto struck several pedestrians in a crosswalk.

"The mom was sitting there next to him screaming, " Macaluso, 26, told the newspaper. "She is always kind and always has a smile".

NY media outlets described the scene as horrific. Tell me this isn't happening! A 46-year-old man, who was not identified, also was hit, police said.

Left on the scene was the little boy's stroller, crumpled after being hit by the vehicle.

The 44-year-old driver in Monday's crash claimed to have had a medical episode and had not been charged as of Tuesday, police said. Witnesses told the New York Post that Miles "was bleeding from her head" and authorities had to "cut her coat off".

"[Abigail] was flat on her back, and when the ambulance came, they were giving her CPR, " Clark-Smith said.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to collect donations in support of Miles and her family. According to the New York Daily News, Bruns drove from the scene of the fatalities before crashing into more cars, when she was forced to stop.
