But Ben Marter, a spokesman for Durbin, said on Friday that following an initial telephone conversation with Trump about the deal, the senator had been "encouraged" by Trump's reaction and had expected further progress on the legislation at a White House meeting that day.

Trump stands accused of using "shithole" to describe African countries during an immigration meeting with a bipartisan group of six senators.

Durbin said after the Oval Office meeting that Trump's words to the senators were "vile, hate-filled and clearly racial in their content".

"Honestly I don't think the Democrats want to make a deal", Trump said.

Trump tweeted Sunday: "DACA is probably dead because the Democrats don't really want it, they just want to talk and take desperately needed money away from our Military".

On Friday evening, the White House released a statement from Jackson - who also performed President Barack Obama's last presidential physical - that indicated the exam went "exceptionally well" and described Trump's health as "excellent".

He also reports the 6-foot-3 president weighed in at 239 pounds - three pounds heavier than he was in September 2016, the last time Trump revealed his weight to the public.

Trump has denied using that word.

Comedians took aim at President Donald Trump's doctor on Tuesday after he said the president's "overall health is excellent", according to his recent physical assessment.

"He actively asked me to include that in it so we did", Jackson said Tuesday while speaking to reporters about the results of the president's physical.

Eric Trump, the president's second son, said Wednesday on Fox News that the only color his father cares about is "green" - a reference to the health of the USA economy.

One person who attended the meeting told aides they heard the latter expletive, while others recalled the president saying the more widely reported "shithole".

Trump addressed the issue briefly as he arrived for dinner at his private golf club with House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy.

"There are "good" genes, but what research has shown us is that more than genes, more than health care, more than social circumstances, behaviors are the leading cause of premature death", says Bernadette Melnyk, a professor and dean of Ohio State University's college of nursing and the university's chief wellness officer.

"I'm an immigrant", said Nasreddine.

Ahead of the exam, the White House said that tests for mental acuity would not be included.

Trump commented as Durbin was presenting details of a compromise immigration plan that included providing $1.6 billion for a first installment of the president's long-sought border wall.

Asked what he thinks about people who think he's racist, Trump said: "I am not a racist".

Speaking to reporters Monday, Durbin said, "I don't know that changing the word from "hole" to "house" changes the impact", according to video posted by a WBEZ reporter. "It does rule out the need to do any other cognitive assessment", Jackson said.
