'Tully' Teaser Trailer Starring Charlize Theron

We've seen Charlize Theron play everything from a rough-looking serial killer to the commander of a tribe of post-apocalyptic warriors to a badass secret agent. The film looks like it's comfortable just being a character-centric story that goes for full honesty on how hard motherhood is, especially in this day and age.

Even in this teaser trailer alone, Theron does a great job of pulling sympathy as she trudges through every minute of what must feel like the longest day ever every single day.

There's nearly no talking in the trailer - just the sound of a baby's cry and an exhausted mother's sigh, until Ron Livingston walks into the dining room where Theron has just slid dinner onto the table and says, "Hey, frozen pizza".

Though it doesn't look like it'll just be a film about motherhood, but rather her relationship with the life-saving nanny named Tully. Directed by Jason Reitman and written by Diablo Cody, the film stars Charlize Theron, Mackenzie Davis, Mark Duplass, and Ron Livingston; take a look below...

The synopsis of the film reads: "A new comedy from Academy Award-nominated director Reitman (Up in the Air) and Academy Award-winning screenwriter Cody (Juno)". "Tully watches her newborn overnight so that Marlo can get some sleep, and she becomes a surprising source of therapy and friendship for Marlo and she shows her what life can be like outside the mom bubble", says Theron.

Help is on the way, however, in the form of Tully (Mackenzie Davis), a nanny who arrives on Marlo's doorstep in the final scene of the promo like a gift from the gods, a modern-day Mary Poppins.
