Two Former WWE Stars Possibly Returning For Women's Royal Rumble

However, there is still plenty of space for surprises.

Powell's POV: Becky Lynch is the latest entrant in the women's Royal Rumble match, and Rusev and Aiden Englsh are the latest to enter the men's Royal Rumble match.

The Royal Rumble takes place on January 28th in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Her May 18th, 2016 appearance also featured McCool.

Speaking on his Triple Threat Podcast, former ECW and NWA Champion Shane Douglas spoke on the subject of the first ever Royal Rumble match for the females, and even admits he hasn't given much support to women's wrestling in the past.

With the recent announcement, the already confirmed matches for Royal Rumble 2018 include the Tag Team title match, Men's Royal Rumble, Women's Royal Rumble, The Universal Championship between Brock Lesnar, Braun Strowman, and Kane, the WWE Championship between AJ Styles, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, and the US Title Tournament Final. Whilst Molly did walk away from WWE back in 2005, she did return for one night only to compete in the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania Women's battle royale, which was later won by Santina Marella. It's worth mentioning that McCool recently indicated on Twitter that she would be interested in returning for a final match. She hasn't wrestled for the company since she lost a "Loser Leaves WWE" match against Layla at Extreme Rules in 2011.

Molly Holly has remained in incredible shape since her WWE departure more than a decade ago and is a ideal addition to the match given her popularity with the WWE Universe.
