Amazon Alexa headed to PCs this year, challenges Cortana

These manufacturers have debuted brand new PC models that are created to work with Alexa at this week's International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

Amazon's Alexa virtually dominates the voice-based AI space with a 82% market share with Google Home way behind at 18%. The device could take the driver's orders to let him/her show the directions or to play a particular music.

Vuzix is in the business of smart glasses for over 20 years.

An Amazon spokeswoman has said that they are "excited about the potential of the glasses and the ability to bring Alexa to customers in a new way".

Sources are saying that Amazon Alexa has now eventually Companies starting with Acer, Asus, HP, and Lenovo, all are preparing to integrate the Alexa voice assistant on their new notebooks and desktops. Vuzix has scheduled the release of the AR glasses for the second quarter of this year. A local company is showing off new technology that could eventually help you get additional uses out of your Amazon Alexa app. Amazon allows Alexa integration in third party products, and several tech manufacturers are using Alexa with their speakers and more, but this is the first time we're seeing Alexa breach another reality.

With Alexa's entry to Windows 10 devices, the digital assistant now poses a greater threat to Siri and Google Assistant. However, with the advent of smart home devices, Cortana's greatest weakness proved to be its lack of smart home controls. We don't know if Amazon will ever launch its own pair of Alexa-enabled smart glasses, but this is a good start anyway.
