A 20-year-old Florida man has stepped forward to claim a $450 million in the Mega Millions jackpot, according to WFLA-TV. The Port Richey resident chose to receive the winnings in a lump sum of $281,874,999.

And win he did - the fourth largest jackpot in the game's history.

Missler "A believer in the power of a positive mindset, Shane wasn't really surprised that he had won", the Florida Lottery said.

Missler bought five lottery tickets at a 7-Eleven store in Pasco County, Florida earlier that day, according to the Daily Mail, using money he previously won from a scratch-off lottery ticket.

Missler's winning ticket, with the five winning numbers and a "Mega Ball" number, was drawn on January 5, making him the only victor in the nationwide contest.

Missler, the trustee of Secret 007, LLC, which will receive the lump-sum payment, declined the opportunity to take a photo or conduct interviews with the media.

As a new millionaire, Missler appeared excited about his future.

After finding out that he won, Shane contacted his brother first. Missler acknowledged his age to lottery officials but said intends to do as much good as possible with the winnings. I am 20 years old and my journey has only just begun.

On January 5, 2018, the Mega Millions winning numbers were 28-30-39-59-70 and the Mega Ball was 10.

Missler released a statement through his attorney, saying he recently "retired" from his job and plans to take care of his family by "educating himself to be a good steward of this fortune". "I look forward to the future".
