Oprah should not run for president

President Donald Trump said Tuesday he would beat Oprah Winfrey in a potential 2020 presidential match-up, though he doesn't think she will end up running.

"The question is: does she want to be demoted from queen of the universe to president of the United States?"

According to The New York Times, two all-white, all-male grand juries refused to indict the men despite one of them confessing, which was the case with many incidents involving black victims during the Jim Crow era in the South.

A spokesperson for OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network did not immediately respond to CNN's request for comment on her intentions.

"If she decides to run, she certainly would be the top contender, no doubt about it", said Democratic strategist Joe Trippi, campaign manager of Howard Dean's presidential campaign in 2004.

Winfrey appeared on CBS's "This Morning" in October to talk about a story she worked on as a correspondent for "60 Minutes". "Absolutely. But in terms of where she stands on a number of positions, I would find a number of problems with that", Sanders said.

But at least one Republican politician believes she'd make a good political candidate: President Trump.

"She could hold a front against hatred in this country".

"It's up to the people", Winfrey's longtime partner, Stedman Graham, apparently told the LA Times inside the ceremony. "He's divisive, she's inspirational. she was great, her speech at the Globes was great - I'd like to see her platform, but other than that. But now, she doesn't have a choice".

"I want her to run", Meryl Streep told The Washington Post.

Oprah Winfrey pointed out the value of a free press.

Gabriel Debenedetti, a writer for Politico, tweeted poll information that showed support for Winfrey running, but noted that the information is "based on zero evidence that she'd even consider doing it".

Raised in Nashville, Milwaukee and MS, 63-year-old Winfrey was raped and sexually abused as a child and became pregnant aged 14 but miscarried the baby.

The recipient of the Cecil B. DeMille Award mentioned Taylor during her powerful acceptance speech at the Golden Globes Sunday - But who is she? The person emphasised that the star had not made up her mind about running. "It is not lost on me that at this moment, there are some little girls watching as I become the first black woman to be given this same award".

Still, while some Democrats would embrace Winfrey's outsider-celebrity status as the party's answer to Trump, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., noted that Winfrey, like Trump, lacks any kind of experience in government. "There were Associated Press articles, London Guardian [sic] articles, ABC News articles, videos, as well, that they pulled eight years ago, seven years ago, when this news came out".
