Have Arsenal moved on from Liverpool target Thomas Lemar?

A report claims that Monaco are waiting for an offer of £90m before opening negotiations with Liverpool and Arsenal over the sale of Thomas Lemar.

Liverpool and Arsenal have been linked with Monaco's Thomas Lemar in the January transfer window.

According to the Daily Mail, Premier League sides Arsenal and Liverpool are both reportedly interested in the French worldwide.

Thomas Lemar is widely thought to be the favourite, with the Gunners having had a £92m bid accepted back on transfer deadline day in the summer, although there is plenty of competition for his signature with Liverpool also thought to be interested.

"Things happen that even a club like Monaco can not say no to".

Arsenal had an offer worth around £90m to sign him accepted by Monaco after Arsene Wenger indentified him as the ideal fit to replace Manchester City target Alexis Sanchez.

"You know how insane the market can be, he said".

It happened at Liverpool. Everything can change. The things I can say today are not true tomorrow.

"But", he added, "the transfer window lasts until the end of the month and many things can happen".

That is because Jurgen Klopp's side, as well as Manchester United, are in the mix for the Chilean now. I still want to keep Lemar. "Players like Keita (Balde), Jovetic, Tielemans are all players signed in the knowledge that Lemar will go at some point", Brassell told the Liverpool Echo. However, 22-year-old Lemar decided that the move was happening too quickly and stayed in the principality.

The 28-year-old could join the Nerazzurri on a six-month loan deal, according to the Turin-based newspaper, as he seeks to play his way into the World Cup plans of England manager Gareth Southgate.
