Beyonce, Eminem, The Weeknd to headline Coachella

The Weeknd has performed a total of three times at Coachella (twice on the bill and once past year as a guest). The event, which returns for its 19th year running, will take place over two successive weekends on 13-15 April and 20-22 April. She was now pregnant with twins Sir Carter and Rumi.

Beyonce, Eminem and The Weeknd will headline Coachella, promoters announced on January 2, marking the first time that no rock act will be among the main attractions at the leading festival.

Coachella, which began in 1999, has become one of the most successful United States music festivals. Along with Beyoncé, who will perform on Saturday, The Weeknd will take the main stage on Friday with Eminem finishing up the weekend on Sunday.

Also featured will be rapper Tyler, the Creator, experimental pop guitarist St. Vincent, the breakout R&B singer SZA, sibling trio Haim and the wildly popular NY rapper Cardi B.

But Coachella isn't resting on its laurels, with today's announcement revealing fellow headliners The Weeknd and Eminem will anchor the fest's Friday and Sunday night lineups respectively.

Hip-hop fans will barely be disappointed with the addition of Post Malone, whose watershed year of 2017 has suitably earned him high billing here, along with Tyler, The Creator, Cardi B, Vince Staples, Migos, BROCKHAMPTON, Aminé, Kamaiyah, 6LACK and French Montana. Beyoncé has been a confirmed headlining act for Coachella 2018 since the cancellation was announced in February 2017. As always, the festival will feature plenty of incredible artists with Odesza and Kygo being two of the electronic music headliners.

It makes her the third artist ever to debut with three singles in the top 10 - after The Beatles and Ashanti. See the full lineup of acts below.

Other prominent Detroit-area and MI acts performing at this year's Coachella include Detroit rapper Dej Loaf, Grand Haven-bred singer-songwriter Børns and Frankenmuth rockers Greta Van Fleet.
