In the latest development, a CBI court on Saturday sentenced RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav to three-and-half years in jail and imposed fine of Rs 10 lakh on him in a fodder scam case relating to fraudulent withdrawal of Rs 89.27 lakh from a government treasury 21 years ago.

Senior Jharkhand Congress leader and former Union minister Subodh Kant Sahay met the RJD chief at Birsa Munda Central Jail at Hotwar near Ranchi.

Lalu was given a prison term of five years on September 30, 2013, in another fodder scam case.
