Suspected burglar gets stuck for 7 hours inside fried chicken restaurant

A passer-by saw a pair of legs sticking out of the building, in Rookery Road, Birmingham, and rang the police.

"He was completely stuck and couldn't move at all", he said according to the WM Police statement.

Officers from West Midlands Police's response team arrived and took the photograph, posting it on their @responsewmp1 account.

The suspect was taken to the hospital then arrested on suspicion of burglary. He went on to add that he fire brigade had to come in and use the jaws of life to pull back all the extractor casing to release him'.

In another freaky case, a suspected burglar was mocked online when he had to be rescued by police during a break-in, where he got stuck in a fried chicken shop's extractor unit for seven hours.

Kamran Hussain, 30, the manager of the shop, got word of the incident between 7 and 8 a.m. when a local resident called him. "He was shouting 'help, I'm stuck, can you get me out please".

This is one of the rare moments when a law breaker had to take help from law enforcers when a thief was caught in a tight spot for almost 7 hours.

And a third joked: "I just slipped, I swear, officer". He had no top on and seemed very cold.

One person quipped: "Another fine mess, Stanley". What an absolute plonker.' Lisa Foster wrote: 'Bet he felt like an absolute idiot.
