Wilson could return for Predators in Game 5 of Cup Final

The script has flipped when it comes to goaltenders Pekka Rinne of the Nashville Predators and Matt Murray of the Pittsburgh Penguins.

"We've got to be better in front of him", Laviolette said.

But Pittsburgh's 6-0 win in Game 5 was the second true blowout of the series and the fourth decided by three or more goals.

Pittsburgh has survived anyway thanks in part to a resilience that has been their hallmark under Sullivan.

Head coach Mike Sullivan confirmed the decision following an optional morning skate on Thursday morning.

"You want to get in there and help the team to win". It seemed like Fleury was back to his old self. "We've gone through fire drills in the past couple years because the Predators have been growing in strength, and it's something we've always watched carefully and had a backup plan we were ready to execute and we were happy to do it".

This is as bad a game as I've ever seen. "I certainly wanted to hit some milestones that my dad has and surpass them".

Matt Murray has given up eight goals in the last two games of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Welcome back my Pittsburgh Penguins vs Nashville Predators fans.

The good news if you are a Pittsburgh Penguins fan: You're in the Stanley Cup Final, you have the series locked at two games apiece, you still have home-ice advantage, and, most importantly, you still have Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin. "I'm not sure. I disagree with the call". "Just living my dream right now".

Frederick Gaudreau scored the game-winning goals in Games Three and Four of the Final for the Preds, his second and third goals overall of the series. Crosby, Malkin, et al. simply convert more frequently on chances than most of their peers.

"It's time", Malkin said. "He's a great player". "We figured out our identity and the way we need to play and we found a lot of success on the road in these types of situations. It's our building, our emotion". "It's nearly a selfish thing", Wilson, who had two goals and four points in 12 games, said Thursday prior to Game 5.

Not to worry, Malkin said.

"I don't know that we feel that we're against the ropes". Phil Kessel scored not long after that.

Sullivan smiled and said being referred to as Penguins co-owner and Hall of Fame center Mario Lemieux "brightened my week".

Maybe it's fitting considering the 19-season journey they've taken to get to this point.

In two seasons with the Pens, Kessel has played all 164 regular season games.

"He comes down, shares his insight". Then came his finest work so far in Game 5, brilliance which was apparent on that opening shift. We value his input.

"The real hockey starts now", Subban said.

"We are very aware of that". The final score tied for the seventh-biggest blowout in Cup Final history.

"We're playing really well these four games". I think we've got to play determined.

"But it is business, too". There's the organization, the guys on video, the equipment, the trainers. "I think both teams have gotten better throughout the series and that's expected". I think we have to play with conviction.

-Pittsburgh's transition game has missed top defenseman Kris Letang. "It's a good chance to again lead the series".

After two straight losses in Nashville, Pittsburgh blitzed the Predators with three goals in the first period to chase goaltender Pekka Rinne. But through four games, the difference in play between the two team's defenses has been even wider than anyone could have imagined. It was hard to establish much pressure because Subban and Ekholm got the puck up and out of the zone with such ease.

After a controversial trade, Preds defensemen P.K. Subban was quick to express his destiny as a Cup finalist: "When I got traded, I said it".
