IPhone to add new feature that will stop texting while driving

On the software front, Apple announced the details of two operating system updates - iOS 11 and MacOS High Sierra, as well as changes to the Apple Watch with watchOS 4.

Analysts expect Apple to show off improvements to Siri and advances in AR technology as part of the iOS 11 mobile operating system, which will hint at features in the next iPhone to be introduced later this year. What's more? You can even customise it to add your favourite apps. Although, the autofill feature is a great feature to talk about and Android will also get the feature in its next iteration.

#3 For everyone who runs out of space on their phone because of hundreds of photos and videos stored on the device, you will love Apple's new encoder.

But otherwise, even if an app is now shown as having problems with iOS 11, there's every chance it will still get that life-saving update.

Apple has completely redesigned the App Store. Apps and games will have their own tabs and new app of the day/game of the day tabs.

iOS 11 will be available this fall. The company has paid $70 billion to its app developers.

Siri will get a "more human voice" in iOS 11, and Maps will have new cities, better navigation, speed limits, and lane guidance.

Phone settings such as screen brightness, volume and wi-fi signal are all found inside the Control Center. The big changes are a shared "up next" option, and support for multi-room playback. "When you are driving you don't need to be responding to these kinds of messages".

#5 Apple didn't mention this Monday but I found a screen-record feature. It launched a year after the iPhone 5, alongside the iPhone 5s, but it is likely getting dropped because it has similar hardware based on the 32-bit architecture.

"When you're texting you're taking your eyes off the road for about five seconds to read a text message", Jay Lafarr, a driving instructor at Motor Mirth Defensive Driving, said.

On iPhones, there's also no "spring-loading", aka the ability to "move content from one app to another by hovering over the icon". You can still tag things, create and nest folders, and drag documents about.

There's also a huge update to Apple Pay: you can now make peer-to-peer transactions, so you can send friends money with Touch ID. This feature is now available only in the U.S.; rest of the world has to wait!

This comes after Apple's decision to end support for any applications or devices that use 32-bit processors.

YouTuber EverythingApplePro has found a way to install iOS 11 on your compatible iPhone device without the use of a computer or signing up with Apple's beta program. However, when it has done so, go to Settings General Software Update.

If the app's no longer available, has no updates, or isn't fixed by updating it, check if an upgrade is available as a separate app: search for the developer's name in the App Store and look for anything that sounds similar to the app you're trying to update. Having made use of it could lead to you with a bricked device, and having to downgrade to iOS 10x.
