NBA Finals ratings highest since Jordan's last title in 1998

It would be very tough to find any predictions of the Cavs coming back to win the series, and the Game 3 betting odds have significantly shifted in the last few days.

Curry and Durant have been hailed as the best duo in the NBA but the Warriors guard said they were just trying to play good basketball. That would dig an even deeper hole for the Cavaliers than the one they already find themselves in after the first two games of the Finals.

James was asked if the Finals have simply been a manifestation of Draymond Green's stated desire to "destroy" and "annihilate" Cleveland to avenge the Warriors collapse in the 2016 Finals after building a 3-1 series lead.

Golden State won a league-best 67 games this season.

That's been quite evident through two games.

Much was made of Curry's 13-dribble possession in which he turned James inside out before scoring on him at the rim in the second half of Game 2.

But Warriors coach Steve Kerr said before Game 2 that Thompson was on the verge of a breakout game because he was playing so well on defense and making all the right decisions on offense. Aside from what he did in last year's finals, the point guard was spectacular against the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Klay shook off his postseason-long funk and finished with 22 points in the Dubs' 132-113 victory.

"We were much more physical today than in Game One and we forced them into 20 turnovers and they still beat us pretty good", James told reporters in a televised interview from the locker room in Oakland.

Since this is their third straight finals against Cleveland, Warriors fans can sense The Force is with them this time. We play our game. Or will the Cavs fight back and hand the Warriors their first loss of the playoffs?

"We're never anxious about him and his shooting and the spotlight that's on that", Curry said of Thompson. "There is a lot of work for us left to do".

"If you don't win, and someone says he is the best player in the world, what do you get from that? We're plain and simple going to have to play better". Slow the game down, keep the contest close, and then go for the kill at the end. "The answer was no, we did not repeat", he said. They they need to go the other direction. We've got to get one first.

"I have the same confidence level I've had since I started playing this game", Smith said. Golden State won in 2015. "This series is far from over, we know that".

Game 2 was a different story.

But while James tied Magic Johnson for the all-time postseason record with his eighth triple double, Kyrie Irving shot 8-for-23.

James will head to the broom closet while Durant and Curry celebrate an NBA Finals win on his home court.

Cleveland is a hard place to play in-the Warriors know that. If you relax, they make you pay. "No, it's not over".
